Giza Dress

In 1966 F. C. Gundlach did a fabulous op art fashion shooting at the bottom of the pyramids of Giza. This shift dress is an interpretation of one of the designs which was worn by Mina Mazzini, too. The black and white inlaid pattern around the angular cut out is made of almost 30 carefully placed fabric pieces.

On occasion of the exhibition "Vasarely - In the labyrinth of modernism" (September 26th 2018 - January 13th 2019) at Staedel Museum Frankfurt the Giza Dress by grunten mode was reissued. Victor Vasarely's op art has conquered our daily life. Fashion, prints, furniture, textiles, jewellery… you can find Vasarely quotes everywhere #vasarelyeverywhere
